GOVERNMENT OF TRIPURA EDUCATION (SCHOOL) DEPARTMENT No.F.2(S-2)-SE-E(G)/2006(L-3) Dated, Agartala, the.-.3.L/.1~j2006. NOTIFICATION In exercise of the power conferred by proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in supersession of the existing Recruitment Rules for the post mentioned herein, the Governor hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Headmaster! Headmistress, Higher Secondary Schools! District Inspector of Schools, Tripura under Education (School) Department namely: -
1. Short title commencement: - a) These rules may be' called Headmaster! Headmistress, . Higher Secondary Schools/ District Inspector of Schools Recruitment Rules, 2006. + b) They shall come into force with immediate effect.
2. The name of the post(s) shall be as specified in Column.1.
3. Number, classification and scale of pay. The number of the said post, its classification and the scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in Columns 2 to 4 of the Schedule annexed hereto. . ----
4. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualification etc. The method of recruitment to the said post, age limit, qualificationa and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in Columns 5 to 14 of the said schedule. .
5. Disqualification, No person - a. Who has entered into! contracted: a marriage with a person having spouse living: or b. Who, having a spouse living has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person shall be eligible or appointment to the said post: - .
Provided that the State Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of these rules. Contd.P/2. -P/2-
6. Power to relax :- Where the State Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in the writing and in consultation with the Tripura Public Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.
7. Savings :- Nothing in these rules shall effect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Schedule Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Ex-Servicemen and other special category of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the State Government from time to time in this regard. ff -" la' Db (K~~atia) Under Secretary to the Government of Tripura. Educational and other qualifications required by direct recruitment t i, HEADMASTER/ HEADMISTRESS, HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOLS/ DISTRICT INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS. 211 (two hundred eleven) {208(two hundred eight) posts of Headmaster/ Headmistress, Higher Secondary Schools and 3(three) posts of District Inspector of Schools plus additional posts as and when created by the State Government Group-A' Gazetted. Rs.10,OOO-300-15,100/-(in case of direct recruitment, the entry scale will be Rs.7800-275-1 0,000-300-15, 1001-and shall move to the pay scale of Rs.10,OOO-15,1001-after completion of 4 years of service in the post) subject to revision by the State Government from time to time. i) 65% (sixty five percent) by promotion. And, ii) 35% (thirty five percent) by direct recruitment. 18 to 42 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5(five) years in case of S.C./S.T'/ P.H. candidates and Government employees inCluding teachers of the Govemment aided schools. Provided that the SC/ST/PH/Government Servants shall not get this relaxation over and above the general relaxation of 5 years available to them. a) Educational qualification. i) Master Degree in any subject from any recognised University securing at least: 45% (forty five percent) marks with good academic records. A relaxation of 5% marks shall be allowed to the' ST/SC candidates. ii) B.T.lB.Ed. from any reCognised Universityl T.Ed. (6 months abridge course cerlified by Tripura University! CETE from IGNOU (6 months certificate course). b) Experience. i) At least 10(ten) years regular teaching experience in any Government! Government aided High! Higher Secondary Schools. If adequate number of STlSC candidates with requisite experience is not available, relaxation for a maximum period of 2(two) years in experience criterion shail be allowed to the ST/SC candidates. ,I 8 Whether age and educational qualifications prescribed for the direct recruitment will apply in case of promotion.

Promotion from the posts of Assistant Headmasterl Assistant Headmistress, Higher Secondary Schools! Headmaster/ Headmistress, High Schools/Inspector of Schools! Project Officer having at least-S (three) years experience in the respective posts.
Note. Inter-se seniority between Assistant Headmasterl Assistant Headmistress, Higher Secondary Schools! Headmaster! Headmistress, High Schools! Inspector of Schools! Project Officer to be determined with respect to the date from which they have been allowed pay and scale of pay of the aforesaid posts subject to the fulfilment of essential academic qualifications as shown in item NO.8. -Group-"A'D.P.C.
