The Tripura Security Act 1980State Act of Tripura · Act 9 of 1980

(1) The State Government may, by general or special order prohibit, restrict or impose cord tions upon, the holding of or taking part in processions, meetings or assemblies which, in its opinion are likely to disturb communal harmony or public order.

(2) Any police officer not below the rank of Sub Inspector may takesuch steps and use such force, as may be reasonably necessary for securing conipliance with any order made under this section.

(3) If any person contravenes any order made under this section, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two vears or with fine or with both.
