Section 9

The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council Act, 1979State Act of Tripura · Act 12 of 1979

(1) A person shall be disqualified for being chosen as or for being a member of the District Council if he is for the time being disqualified or becomes disqualified for being chosen as a member of either House of Parliament or holds any office of profit under the Central or State Government or the District Council.

(2) For the purpose of this section a person shall not be deemed to hold an office of profit under the District Council by reason only of his being a member, Chairman or Vice-Chairman thereof.
