Section 27: Executive and other committees

(1). The State Veterinary Council may, under section 10 of the Act constitute an executive committee and other committees. on the adoption of a resolution to this effect by the Council, with its members for such purpose as it 111ayconsider necessary and specify the purpose and functions of such committees in the resol u110n itself.

(2). The State Veterinary Council may also eo-opt any person or persons specially qualified to advise on any matter to any committee, other than the Executive Committee, by adopting a resolution to this effect by the Council.

(3). The quorum for a meeting of the Executive Committee or other committees shall be prescribed by the Council.

(4). The Executive Committee and other committees so appointed shall report to the Registrar of the State Veterinary Council on the matters referred in the resolution (s) constituting the committee (s) within the time frame specified for this purpose,

(5), Save in exceptional circumstance, no extension of time shall be given to any committee appointed by the State Veterinary Council under sub-rule (0.

(6). The Registrar shall place before the State Veterinary Council the report of the committee at the next meeting of the Council.

(7). . Fees and allowances to President and other members of the State Veterinary Council and members of the committees.

(a). The President and other members of the State Veterinary Co uncil other than the Government officials and ex-fficio members shall be paid travelling allowances as applicable to Group-A officers of the Government for attending the meetings of the Council and committee (s)

(b) the members of the committees other than the members of the State Veterinary Council, shall als o be paid like wise travelling allowances for attending the meetings of the committees.

(c) the Government officials who are n omi Dated by the Government and ex-officio members sball be entitled to travelling and other allowances as per Government/institution/organisation rules from their respective offices/institu ti ons/ organisations.

(d) non-official members shall be paid daily allowance at the rate admissible to Group-A officers of the Government as daily allowance.

(e). fee of Rs. 100/- shall be paid to all members other than the President and the Government officials who are members of the Co uncil for attending a meeting of the State Veterinary Council or the Executive Committee or other committees.

(f). the President of the State Veterinary Council, if he is not a Government official shall be entitled to an amount of Rs. 200/- for attending each meeting of the State Veterinary Council and Rs. 1aa/- for other meetings.

(g) Where a member of the State Veterinary Council, in the absence of its President, presides over a meeting of tbe council under Rule 26 (9). he shall bo paid a fee of Rs. 200/-.
