Section 9: Returning Officer and Assistant Returning Officer -(s)

Tripura Veterinary Council Rules 2000State Rules of Tripura · 1984

(I) The Gevernrr.ent shall, after receipt of a copy of the electoral roll published under Rule-S, designate or nominate a Returning Officer who shall be an Officer of the Government.

(2) Governme nt may also appoint one or more persons, who shall also be officerts) of the Government to assist the Returning Officer in the-performance of his functions as Assistant Returning Officerrs).

(3) Every Assistant Rr tur oing Officer shall, subject to the control of tile Returning Officer, he competent to perform all or any of the functions of the Returning Officer.

Provided that no Assistant Returning Officer shall perfrom any of the functions of the Returning, officer which relate to the issue of ballot papers, counting Of ballot papers and declaration of results of elections.
