(i) must be able to read English letters and figures;
(ii) must have good knowledge of traffic regulations;
(iii) must be able to locate faults and carry out minor running repairs;
(iv) must be able to change wheels and correctly inflate tyres.
Note: Staff Car Drivers serving in the University Grants Commission and having 9 years of regular service in the ordinary grade(including those who cannot be accommodated in Grade-I inspite of putting in 15 years of service for want of vacancies) shall alse be eligible for appointment to Grade- II, subject to being found fit by the Departmental Promotion Committee on the basis of Seniority-cum-fitness and passing of trade test conducted by University Grants Commissione =~ eS es ee
