Section 4: Constitution of Grievance redressal and dispute resolution committees

(1) There shall be a Grievance redressal and dispute resolution committee for each local authority, constituted by the Government under subsection (1) of Section 20 of the Act, comprising of a Chairperson, who has been a civil judge or a judicial magistrate and two other professionals as members.

(2) The Chairperson and members of a Grievance redressal and dispute resolution committee shall be appointed by the Government, for a period of five years:

Provided that no Chairperson shall hold office as such after he has attained the age of sixty-seven years.
