(1) No suit or other legal proceeding shall lie againet the Central Government in respect of any loss or damage caused or likely to be caused by anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Ordinance or any rules or orders made thereunder.

(2) No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against the District Magistrate or any officer authorised in this behalf by the Central Government or the District Magistrate in respect of anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Ordinance or any rules or orders made thereunder.
19. The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that all or any of the powers which may be exercised by it under this Ordinance, shall, in such circumstances and under such conditions, if any, as may be specified in the notification, be exercised also by any State Government and the State Government may, with the previous approval of the Central Government, by order in writing direct that any power which has been directed to be exercised by it shall, in such circumstances and under such conditions, if any, as may be specified in the direction, be exercised by any person subordinate to the State Government as may be specified therein.
Power to delegate.
20. The provisions of this Ordinance or any rule or order made thereunder shall have effect notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in any enactment other than this Ordinance or any instrument having effect by virtue of any enactment other than this Ordinance.
