Section 2: Definitions

In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context— (@) "Act' means the Uttar Pradesh Kshettra Panchayat and Zila Panchayats Adhiniyam, 1961;

(b) “territorial constituency" in relation—

(i) a Kshettra Panchayat means the territorial constituency referred to in Clause (b) of Sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Act; and

(i) a Zila Panchayat means the territorial constituency referred to in Clause (b) of Sub-section (1) of Section 18 of the Act.
