The Uttar Pradesh Co-Operative Societies Act, 1965State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 11 of 1966
(1) Every co-operative society shall have an address registered in the prescribed manner and all notices and communications to the society may be sent at such address. The society shall sent to the Registrar notice of any change of such address within thirty days of the change.
[(2) Every co-operative society shall, at every office or place where it carries on business, display its name and address of its registered office along with the words "registered under the Uttar Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act, 1965" in legible character at a conspicuous place and shall also mention the same-
(a) in all notices and other publications authorized by it ;
(b) in all business contracts, business letters, order for goods, invoices, statements of accounts, receipts and letters of credits ; and
(c) in all bills of exchange, promissory notes, endorsements, cheques and orders for money it signs or that are signed on its behalf.]
