Section 11: Release from detention

The Uttar Pradesh Debt Relief Act, 1977State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 4 of 1977

11. (1) Every small farmer undergoing detention in a civil prison in execution of any decree or order in respect of a debt shall be released.

(2) No small farmer shall in any case be liable to arrest or detention in civil prison in execution of any such decree for a period of one year from the commencement of this Act.
