(1) State Level Monitoring Committee shall be constituted at the State level under the Chairpersonship of the Chief Secretary with Secretary of Geology and Mining Department, Uttar Pradesh, Finance and Planning Department, and one representative of Ministry of Mines, Government of India as members.

(2) The Secretary of Geology and Mining Department, Uttar Pradesh who supervises DMFs in the State shall be the Member Secretary of the State Level Monitoring Committee.

(3) The Directorate of Geology and Mining, Uttar Pradesh shall constitute a cell to be called "State Level Nodal DMF Cell" for monitoring activities of DMFs in the State and shall act as the Secretariat to the State Level Monitoring Committee.

(4) Powers and functions of State Level Monitoring Committee (SLMC)-The State Level Monitoring Committee shall monitor performance of DMFs under PMKKKY and compliance of transparency norms, audit and annual report of DMFs.

(5) Meetings of State Level Monitoring Committee (SLMC)-The State Level Monitoring Committee shall meet at least twice in a year.
