Section 6: Disqualification for being a Member.

The Uttar Pradesh Electricity Reforms Act, 1999State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 24 of 1999

A person shall be disqualified for appointment as a Member, if he, -

    (a) has been adjudged an insolvent ; or

    (b) has become physically or mentally incapable of acting : or

    (c) has been convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for any offence involving moral turpitude : or

    (d) has acquired such financial or other interest as is likely to affect his function as a Member : or

    (e) has so abused his position as to render his continuance in office prejudicial to the public interest ; or

    (f) is a Member of Parliament, the State Legislature or any local authority or is a candidate for election thereto ; or

    (g) is a member of a political party or holds a post therein.
