Section 47: Pre-existing rights

The Uttar Pradesh Ground Water (Management and Regulation) Act, 2019State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 13 of 2019

(1) Pre-existing rights of a user of ground water will continue to be valid for a period of one year from the date of commencement of this Act, after which the rights and entitlements shall be in accordance with the provisions of this Act.

(2) The user of ground water shall not be entitled for any compensation for any legal or other rights that become extinguished under this Act.
