Section 34: Proceedings of Authorities of Bodies not invalid

34. (1) Notwithstanding that the General Council, the Executive Council, the Academic Council or any other authority or body of the University is not duly constituted or there is a defect in its constitution or re-constitution at any time, no act or proceeding of any authority, committee or body of the University shall be invalid merely by reasons of

(a) any vacancy in or defect in the constitution thereof, or

(b) any defect in the election, nomination or appointment of a person acting as a member thereto; or

(c) any irregularity in its procedure not affecting the merits of the case.

(2) No resolution of any authority or body of the University shall be deemed to be invalid on account of any irregularity in the service of notice upon any member Provided that the proceedings of such authority or body if not prejudicially affected by such irregularity.
