Section 4: Repugnancy with other law

Uttar Pradesh Krishi Utpadan Mandi Adhiniyam, 1964State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 25 of 1964

(1) Subject to the provisions of sub-section (2), the provisions of this Act shall have effect, notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in any other law, custom, usage or agreement.

(2) The provisions of section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, and the orders made thereunder shall have effect notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in this Act or in any rule, bylaw or order made thereunder.
