Section 256: Decision of disputes between authorities

Uttar Pradesh Kshettra Panchayat and Zila Panchayat ActState Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 33 of 1961

256. (1) Should a dispute arise between a [Zila Panchayat] or a [Kshettra Panchayat] and any other local authority on any matter in which they are jointly interested, such dispute shall be referred to the State Government whose decision shall be final.

(2) The State Government may regulate by rule the relations to be observed between [Zila Panchayat] and [Kshettra Panchayat] and other local authorities in any matter in which they are jointly interested.
