Section 13: Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University

The Uttar Pradesh Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology Act, 2013State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 22 of 2013

(1) The Vice-Chancellor, if he considers necessary, may appoint a Pro Vice- Chancellor from amongst the Professors of the University, with the approval of the Board of Management.

(2) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor appointed under sub-section (1) shall discharge his duties in addition to his duties as a Professor.

(3) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall hold office at the pleasure of the Vice- Chancellor.

(4) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall assist the Vice-Chancellor in respect of such matters, as may be specified by the Vice-Chancellor on his behalf from time to time and shall preside over the meetings of the University in the absence of the Vice- Chancellor and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may e assigned or delegated to him by the Vice-Chancellor.

(5) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall be paid honorarium, as may be Prescribed.
