Section 17: Canteen hall

(1) The canteen hall shall accommodate at least thirty per cent of the motor transport workers likely to come at a time:

Provided that in ant particular of undertakings, the State Government may, by notification in this behalf in the Official Gazette, alter the percentage of workers to be accommodated.

4[(2) The floor area of the canteen shall excluding the area occupied by service counter and any furniture except tables and chairs shall be not less than 3.048 square metres.]

(3) Sufficient tables, chairs or benches shall be available for the number of diners to be accommodated under sub-rule (1).
