Section 141: Temporary payments from 1Corporation Fund for works urgently required for public service

141. (1) On the written requisition of the State Government or the Prescribed Authority the [Municipal Commissioner] may at any time undertake the execution of any work certified by the State Government or such authority as the case may be, to be urgently required for a work of public utility and for this purpose may make payments from the [Corporation] Fund so far as the same can be made without unduly interfering with the regular working of the municipal administration.
(2) On receipt of requisition under sub-section (1) the [Municipal Commissioner] shall forthwith forward a copy thereof to the [Corporation] together with a report of the action taken by him thereon for its information.
(3) The cost of all work executed under sub-section (1) and of the establishment engaged in executing the same shall be paid by the State Government and credited to the [Corporation] Fund.
