Section 24: Qualifications for election as 1Corporator

The Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 2 of 1959

[24. A person shall not be qualified for being chosen as, and for being a [Corporator] unless he-

(a) is and elector in the City ;

(b) has attained the age of twenty one years ; and

(c) belongs in respect of a seat reserved for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, backward classes or women, to such category, as the case may be.]
