Section 45: Supervision of conduct of elections.

[45. (1) The superintendence, direction and control of the conduct of elections of the [Mayor], [ * * * ] and [Corporators] of the Corporation shall be vested in the State Election Commission.]

[ (2) Subject to sub-section (1) the Chief Election officer (Urban Local Bodies), referred to in sub-section (2) of section 39, shall supervise the conduct of the elections of the [Mayor], [ * * * ] and [Corporators] of the Corporation.]
