Section 47: Failure of elections

47. (1) If at any election of [Corporators] [***] any seat remains unfilled, a fresh election shall be held to fill the vacancy.

(2) For the purposes of conduct of election and ascertainment of the term of a [Corporator] [***] an election under sub-section (1) shall be deemed to be an election to fill a casual vacancy.
