Section 11: Character

The Uttar Pradesh Palika and Jal Sansthans Water Works Engineering (Centralised) Services Rules, 1996State Rules of Uttar Pradesh · 1916

(1) the appointing authority shall satisfy itself that the character of a candidate for appointment is such as to render him suitable, in all respects for employment in Centralised Services.

(2) Every candidate for recruitment shall be required to submit certificates of character from the principal head of the institution last attended and from two Gazetted Officers (not related to the candidate) in active service of the state or Union Government who are well acquainted within his private life but unconnected with his School, College or University.
