Section 16: Communication of the number of vacancies

The Government shall determine and intimate to the Commission the number of vacancies to be filled during the course of the year as also the number of vacancies to be reserved for candidate belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes under rule 8.

17. Applications. (a) The applications for recruitment to the Centralised Services shall be invited by the Commission and shall be made on the prescribed form which may be obtained from the Secretary to the Commission on payment and shall be submitted with in such time as may specified.

(b) Candidates already employed in the Centralised Services shall submit their applications through proper channel to the Government who shall forward them to the Commission alongwith their periodical reports.
