Section 27: Sources of funds of water users' association
The Uttar Pradesh Participatory Irrigation Management Act, 2009State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 4 of 2009
(1) The main source of funds of a water users’ association shall be its share as determined by the State Government in the water charges recovered in respect of water supplied by it
(2) A water users’ association may also raise funds through the following sources:
(i) income from the properties and the assets in the area of operation of the irrigation system with approval of competent canal officer.
(ii) penalty and compounding of fees.
(iii) contributions from land-holders.
(iv) donations.
(v) interest on deposits.
(vi) borrowings.
(vii) fees for services.
(viii) grants from State or Central Government.
(ix) income from such other source. as may be prescribed.
