Section 14: Procedure and powers of Designated Court regarding offences
The Uttar Pradesh Protection of Interest of Depositors in Financial Establishments Act, 2016State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 16 of 2016
(1) The Designated Court may take cognizance of the offence without the accused being committed to it for trial and, in trying the accused persons, shall follow the procedure prescribed in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for the trial of warrant cases by Magistrates.
(2) The provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 shall so far as may be, apply to the proceedings before a Designated Court and for the purposes of the said provisions, a Designated Court shall be deemed to be a Magistrate.
(3) No anticipatory bail shall be granted to any person responsible for managing/operating the defaulting Financial Establishment by the Court.
