(1) As soon as may be after the 'commenumem of this Ordinance, the State Constitution and Government shall by notification, constitute for the purpose of this Ordinance, a Council As'."‘w’mu“"‘m"r"“ 10 be called the State Library Council. Council
(2) The State library Council shall consist of :—
1. फिट Minister, Secondary Education Department, Chairperson Govemnment of Uttar Pradesh ;
2. the Principal Secretary or the Sccretary as पीट Vice-Chairperson case may be, to the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Secondary Education Department ;
3. the Principal Secretary to the Government Member of Uttar Pradesh, Finance Department or his nominee not below the rank of Special Secretary ;
4. the Principal Secretary to the Government Member of Uttar Pradesh, Culture Department or his nominee not below the rank of Special Secretary ;
5, the Principal Secretary to the Government Member of Uttar Pradesh, Planning Department or his nominee not below the rank of Specia! Secretary |
6. the Special Secaesury, to the Government of Member Uttar Pradesh, Secsuary Lducation Department nominated by the Secretary, Secondary Education ; .
7. the Director, Secondary Education Department, ~ Member Uttar Pradesh ;
8. the Librarian, Central State Library, Secondary ~ Member Education Department, Unar Pradesh ; «
9. one person numinated by the Uttar Pradesh Member Library Association ;
10. one Library Officer nominated by the State Member Government ;
11. one person nominated by the Chairman Raja ~ Member Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata ;
12 the Officer on Special Duty (Library Cell), Member/ Secondary Education Department, Government Secretary of Uttar Pradesh.
(3) The Council shall advise the State Government on की] matters arising in the administration of this Ordinance. It shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed.
{4) The tenure of the members specified at serials 9 to 11 shall be two years.
(5) The Headquarters of the Council shall be at Lucknow.
