Section 3: Amendment of section 2.

3. In section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Official Language Act, 1951, the words, within and year from the commencement of this Act shall be omitted, and at the end the following proviso shall be added, namely:

"Provided that the State Government may by general or special order in this behalf permit the use of the international Form of Indian numerals for any official purpose of the State."
