203. [xxx] Whenever proceedings are taken under this Chapter against any person for the recovery of any arrear of land revenue, he may pay the amount claimed to the recovery officer, and upon such paymen the proceedings shall be stayed, and the person against whom such proceeding were taken may, notwithstanding anything contained in any other provisions of this code, sue the State Government in the civil court for the recovery of amount so paid.
