Section 216: Service of notice

216. Any notice or other document required or authorized to be served under this Code may be served either,-

(a) by delivering it to the person on whom it is to be served ; or

(b) by registered post addressed to that person at his usual or last known place of abode ; or

(c) in case of an incorporated company or body, by delivering it or sending it by registered post addressed to the secretary or other principal functionary of the company or body at its principal officer ;or

(d) in any other manner laid down in the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 for service of summons.
