Section 36: Intimation of transfer and deposit of land revenue

36. (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 34, where any document purporting to create, assign or extinguish any title to or any charge on land or in respect of which a record of rights (Khatauni) is prepared, is registered under the ‘‘Registration Act, 1908’’ the registering authority shall send intimation to the Tahsildar within whose jurisdiction such land is situate in such form and within such time as may be proscribed.

(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Chapter no order for correction of records under section 32 and no order for recording succession under section 33 and no amendment of record of rights (Khatauni) under section 35 and no correction under section 38 shall be recorded, unless the amount of land revenue due up-to-date in respect of the land to which such order relates has been deposited.
