Section 18: Notice of Housing schemes

The Uttar Pradesh Rural Housing Board Act, 1983State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 27 of 1983

(1) When any housing scheme has been framed, the Board shall prepare a notice to that effect specifying-

(a) the boundaries of the area comprised in the scheme;

(b) the dates, hours and place or places at which a map of the area particulars of the scheme, and details of the land proposed to be acquired may be seen; and

(c) the date by which objections to the scheme may be made.

(2) The Board shall-

(a) cause the said notice to be published weekly for three consecutive weeks in (i) the Gazette and (ii) two daily newspapers, having circulation in the area comprised in the scheme at least one of which shall be a Hindi newspaper; and

(b) send a copy of the notice to the local authority or authorities within whose jurisdiction the area comprised in the scheme lies.

(3) The Rural Housing Commissioner shall cause copy of any document referred to in clause (b) of sub-section (1) to be delivered to any applicant on payment of such fee as may be provided by regulations.
