Section 53: Penalty for obstructing contractor or removing marks

The Uttar Pradesh Rural Housing Board Act, 1983State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 27 of 1983

If any person-

(a) obstruct or molests any person with whom the Board has entered into a contract, in the performance by such person of his duty or of anything which he is empowered or required to do by virtue or in consequence of this ordinance or any rule or regulation ; or

(b) removes any mark set up for the purpose of indicating any level or direction necessary to the execution of works authorized by this Act or any rule or regulation,

he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both.
