Section 7: Power to co-opt

7. (1) The Parishad or the Planning and Development Committee may meet at any time and for such period as it thinks fit, co-opt any person or persons as a member or members of the Parishad or of the Planning and Development Committee;

(2) A person co-opted under sub-section (1) shall exercise and discharge all the powers and functions of a member of the Parishad or of the Planning and Development Committee, as the case may be, but shall not be entitled to vote.
