Section 37: Power of State Government to suspend proceedings

37. The State Government may, by order in writing and stating the reasons therefore, suspend the execution of any resolution or order of the Board or of any committee constituted under this Act and prohibit the doing of any act which is purported to be done or is intended to be done under this Act, if the State Government is of opinion that such resolution, order or act is in excess of the powers conferred by or under this Act on the Board or any committee, as the case may be.
