Section 24: Academic and Activity Council

The Uttar Pradesh State Sports University Act, 2021State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 8 of 2021

24. (1) The Academic and Activity Council of the University shall consist of the following members, namely:-

(i) the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic and Activity Council;

(ii) two academicians or professionals, to be nominated by the Board;

(iii) two academicians or professionals in the field of physical education and sports sciences, who have achieved distinction in Olympics or World championship, to be nominated by the Board.

(iv) the Director of the University;

(v) one Dean of the University, by rotation, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;

(vi) one Head Coach, by rotation, to be nominated by the Vice Chancellor; and

(vii) one professor from each faculty of University department, by rotation, to be nominated by the Vice Chancellor.

(2) The Registrar shall be the Secretary of the Academic and Activity Council.

(3) The term of office of the members nominated under clauses (ii), (iii), (v), (vi) and (vii) of sub-section (1) shall be three years.
