Section 6: University open to all classes and creed

The Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 10 of 1973

The University shall be open to all persons irrespective of class or creed, but nothing in this section shall be deemed to require the University to admit to any course of study a larger number of students than may be determined by the Ordinances:

Provided that nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent the University from making special provisions for admission of students belonging to 1the Scheduled Castes, [the Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes of citizens.]
