STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS

On the recommendation of the Economic Development Committee of the Council of ministers it was decided to make a law to provide for the constitution of an Authority for the Taj Economic Zone with a view to developing certain areas tn the State into industrial and urban economic Zone.

Since the State Lagislature was not in session and immediate legislative action was necessary implement the aforesaid decision, the Uttar Pradesh Taj Economic Zone Development Authority Ordinance, 2002 (U.P. Ordinance no.11 of 2002) was promulgated by the Governor on July,4 2002.

This Bill is introduced to replace the aforesaid Ordinance.
