Section 15: (1) The Board shall also constitute a recognition committee which shall consist of

1. Director, Chairman Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh. Kanpur.

2. Director, member Institute of Research and Development Training. Kanpur.

3. Chief Engineer, member Public Works Department or his representative not below the rank of Superintending Engineer.

4. Chief Engineer, member State Electricity Board or his representative not below the rank of Superintending Engineer.

5. Chief Engineer, member Jal Nigam, Uttar Pradesh, or his representative not below the rank of Superintending Engineer.

6. Regional Officer, member All India Council of Technical Education, Regional Office, Kanpur.

7. One Member, member of Legislative Assembly Uttar Pradesh from amongst such members of the Board.

8. Director, member Electricity Safety, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.

9. One Principal of the Polytechnic, member from amongst such members of the Board.

10. Secretary, member/secretary Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.

(2) Whenever any reference regarding the recognition of any course of study or institution is made to it, the Recognition Committee shall make its recommendations for consideration of the Board. The Committee may constitute a sub-committee of not less than three members to scrutinise the application for recognition on the same grounds as specified in regulation
