36. No act or proceeding, of any authority or body or committee of the University shall he invalid merely by reason of:-

(a) any vacancy or defect in the institution thereof, or:-

(b) some person having taken part in the proceedings who was not entitled to do so, or

(d) any irregularity in its procedure not affecting the merits of the case.
