Section 2: Definitions

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires :

(a) 'Act' means the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Peace (Timely Payment of Wages) Act, 1978 ;

(b) 'Section' means a section of the Act ;

(d) Other words and expressions used in these rules and not defined shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Act.
