Section 15: Dean of Studend Welfare

The U.P. Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 45 of 1958

. (1) The Dean of Student Welfare shall be a whole-time officer of the University and shall be appointed by the [Kulpati] (Vice-Chancellor) subject to the approval of the Board.

(2) The salary and allowances payable to the Dean of Student Welfare shall be as prescribed.

(3) The Dean of Student Welfare shall have the following duties–

(a) to make arrangements for the housing of students ;

(b) to direct a programme of student counseling ;

(c) to arrange for employment of students in accordance with plans approval by the [Kulpati] (Vice-Chancellor);

(d) to supervise the extra-curricular activities and needs of students ;

(e) to assist in the placement of graduates who leave the University ; and

(f) to organize and maintain contact with the alumni of the University.
