The Chairman may at his . request be granted such leave. of absence as may be allowed by the State Government. When such leave is granted, the State Government may appoint in his absence any other Director of the Corporation, to hold office and to perform the duties and exercise the powers of the Chairman, in addition to his own, duties during the period for which such leave is granted.
