A whole-time Director shall be entitled to such salary and allowances as may be specified by the State Government.
6. Travelling, daily and conveyance allowance, Section 44(2)
(b).—(1) A Director, who is an officer of the State Government or the Central Government and is a part-time Director shall be eligible to draw travelling and daily allowance at the rates as may be admissible to him in the State Government or the Central Government as the case may be.
(2) A Government servant who is appointed as whole-time Director shall have the option to draw travelling and daily allowance either at the rate as may be admissible to him under the rules governing such a Government servant or if he so chooses at the rates as may be specified by the State Government. The option exercised once by the officer concerned shall be final,

(3) A Director who is not a Government officer shall draw travelling and daily allowance on the rates which may be specified by the State Government :
Provided that such Director shall not draw travelling/ daily allowance admissible under these rules if for the same journey or for the same halt they have drawn travelling or daily allowance, as the case may be, from the Government, Treasury in any other capacity.
(4) A bill for travelling allowance, daily allowance or convey,7:, -,. - n allowance, as these case may be, claimed under these rules shall be countersigned, when such allowance is claimed by—
(a) the Chairman, by the Chairman himself,
(b) a Director, by the Chairman.
