22. If any person contravenes any of the provision of this Act or any rule or of Order made thereunder, he shall be liable to imprisonment up to six months or to a fine not exceeding [one lakh rupees] or both and in the case of continuing contravention to a further fine not exceeding [five thousand] for each day during which the contravention continues.
