Section 29: Method of payment of installment and recovery of arrears.

29. (1) The installments ordered under section 27 or section 28 shall be paid by the debtor to the [ State Government] along with his land revenue and cesses and any such instalment not paid on due date shall be recoverable as an arrear of land revenue.

(2) If the full amount of any two consecutive installments has not been paid within six months of the date on which the second of such instalment fell due, the whole amount remaining due from the debtor may, subject to rules framed by [ State Government] the be recovered as an arrear of land revenue.

(3) Notwithstanding anything in the United Provinces Court of Wards Act, 1912, the Court of Wards shall at the request of the 4State Governmentassume charge of the estate of any debtor who has been ordered to pay instalments under section 27 or section 28 and who has not paid two consecutive instalments within six months of the date on which the second of such installments fell due.
