Section 78: - Bar of certain suits

The United Provinces Excise Act 1910State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 4 of 1910

(1) No suit shall lie in any civil Court against the [Government] or any officer or person for damages for any act in good faith done, or ordered to be done, in pursuance of this Act or of any other law for the time being in force relating to the excise revenue.

(2) No civil Court shall try any suit which may lawfully be brought against the [Government] in respect of anything done, or alleged to have been done, in pursuance of this Act, unless the suit is instituted within six months after the date of the act complained of.
