Section 16: Appointment of Registrar and other officers

The United Provinces Nurses, Midwives, Assistant Midwives Auxillary Nursemidwives and Health Visitors Registration Act, 1934State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 15 of 1934

(1) With the previous sanction of the [State Government] the Council

(a) shall appoint a Registrar ;

(b) may grant leave to such Registrar and appoint a person to act in his place ; and

(c) shall pay to the Registrar and to the person, if any, appointed to act in his place such salary and allowances (if any) as the Council may determine.

(2) The Council may appoint such other officers and such clerks and servants as it may consider necessary for the purposes of this Act, and shall pay them such salaries and such allowances (if any) as with the previous sanction of the [State Government] the Council may determine.

(3) The Registrar shall act as Secretary and Treasurer to the Council.
