B U Deflnition.—-(l) ~In these rules unless therc is anything .réepugnant in the subject or-context::
( a) “the Act" means the U.P. Electrlcity(Duty) Act, 1952 (b ) “duty‘ means electrlclty duty payable under Section 3 of the Act.

(d) "Deputy Electrical Inspector" means Deputy Electrical Inspector to Government, U.P. incharge of the region concerned or such other Deputy Electrical Inspector to Government, U.P., as may be deputed by the Electrical Inspector for any particular case.
(e) "Assistant Electrical Inspector” means the Assistant Electrical Inspector to government, U.P. who may be incharge of the area or zone concerned or such other Assistant Electrical Inspector * to Government, U.P. as may be deputed by the Electrical Inspector for any particular case. i f) "Government Treasury” means a Treasury or Sub-Treasury of _ the Government. s
(g) "Other person” means any person other .than a licensee. .or appointed authority consuiming electrical energy from his own source of generatlon.
(2) All other words and expressions used herein and not defined shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act and failing that the meanings as assigned in the Indian Electricity Act, 1910, and the Indian Electricity Rules, 1956.
